Pencil Neck

Honorary ABE and worlds nicest guy, Lorne Hildebrand took a spill off his ladder last week and had a pencil impaled in his neck.  Miraculously he's OK and currently enjoying some holiday time on Vancouver Island.

Breakfast ride dilemma?

To watch the Tour or ride for breakfast? I think I'll ride, for a change. If you want to ride along, meet at the usual place, at 9 am.

Another Bomber game on a Thursday!?  But, "I want it all"! (Queen) and others may too, so here are some of your options:

A)     Meet at 6:00 and cycle until the Bomber Game starts

B)      Meet at 8:00 and cycle until you need hydration

C)      Meet at the clubhouse when you're good and ready

D)     Screw you guys, I’m staying home

AND/OR

E)   Get ready for the 24 Hours of Falcon Ridge (ps - early registration ends today - be a good Menno, register, and save yer $.

I'm away at the Folk Fest where I'll be inundated with great 

food, music and faux, faded and/or filthy hippies.

Cuyuna 2014

37 ABES, families and friends ventured down to Cuyuna during the Canada day long weekend to take advantage of the best mountain bike trails this side of anywhere.  It was hard not to grin like an idjit as we flew around on the flowy trails.  All the trails were great but the Bobsled, Screamer, and Sand Hog were a few of the favorites.  The campground was family friendly with a beach and playground, Franky procured a mountain of firewood and the weather cooperated better than expected.  People were having too many good times to stop and take many pictures but David, Paul and Charlene provided the ones we got.

Breakfast Ride Brag

Mia joined me for a very warm Saturday morning breakfast ride.  We cycled to Plum Coulee and back.  She was a trooper.  Proud papa is proud.

The undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers play today and I’d like to watch the game AND ride bike.  Why don’t we watch the first half of the game at my house, go for a half-time spin, then retire to the clubhouse for the second half?
