Thursday Night Ride (or watch) updated

The leftover libations have all gravitated to my garage so I thought it only fitting that we meet there Thursday to consume them. Weather looks sketchy so we'll be set up in the garage where the Bomber game will be on (hopefully).

Small Towns

Recent fundraising efforts…Goating!

The sign atop the sweetest car in Altona reads,
Goating
$10 Removal
$10 Forwarding
$5 Insurance

My daughters, in-laws and I were amused.  The goat seemed to be unimpressed but played along nicely.  I paid for the complete service package and sent the goat to  David S.  Franklin said they raised $1000 in two evenings for the SEVEC program.

ThNR Report

Our evening did not go as planned.  Gavin had wota em kjalla, Shaun had a broken hub, and the rain was all rainy.  Freeboozapalooza will take place next week.

Steven submitted this picture that was taken in Altona this week  It seems a disgruntled neighbour took matters into his own hands - it reads, MOW ME.
They will know we are Christians by our love, by our luuuuuuuve.

He also submitted a few gooders from last weekend…
Post ride selfie at Falcon Lake
A break at the lake on the Ingolf trail
Good times.

Breakfast ride

Meet at the same time (9 am) and same place. Proposed route: 201 West to the 306, then south to the 243, then East to the 30 and south to breakfast at Oakview, then home with the wind on the 30.

ThNR

Franklin wants to defend his TT title from last year so be prepared to give’r tonight.  There is also the matter of the leftover beer, hookah and wood.  The finish line can be at my place or we can go wherev’s if it makes more sense as I have none of the leftovers.  We’ll race to see who gets to drink the good stuff and who drink Corona Lite.

Or it rains a boatload and we all sit in a garage reminiscing about the weekend.  Either way, see you at 8.

Spring Ride Photos

Remember last weekend?  That was fun.

The tarpage was deluxe - thanks James.
The superlatives were creative.

Hookaaaaah.

Time for a nap Franklin.
Victor wonders about those superlatives
Albert celebrated his 64th birthday.
We love you Albert - you're awesome.
and we even managed to get some cycling done when it wasn't raining.
Good times.

Weekend Supplies II

Camping chair - Lyle sized or regular sized will suffice.
Don't be the guy that didn't bring a chair.
Also, don't be the guy that brings a bike tent.

Breakfast or breakslow? Time Trial Tune-up?

Be the change you want to be, but be there for breakfast. Same time same place same destination. Probably.

ThNR

We have important things to discuss.  Beer choices for next weekend top the list.

See you at 8.

A Gauntlet has been dropped? Whaaaaaat?!

Over on the left is a link to the MIT website. Apparently they're challenging us to a Team Time Trial. Since when did anyone challenge us to anything? We DID place on the podium at the Belgian Club roller races a few years back but that was mostly do to our beer drinking abilities. Does this TTT involve chugging? This will be discussed on Thursday. Come prepared with cogent arguments/outlandish rhetoric.

Bike Porn

James Doell, ABES International Arts and Entertainment Correspondent, submitted these pictures from "The Art of the Bicycle" exhibit from the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

Thanks James.
