Hey guys, I know you will see the info on the FGBC blog, but I just wanted to extend a personal invite to a Short Track XC race next Tuesday, Aug 10. Please feel free to join in the fun. The trails are new this year, flowy and fun, have been mowed, but need riders to help keep em burnt in. Anyway, this will just be about having fun. Post ride fun will also be available - location for that TBD.
Pre-race meeting place is my house at 1140 Lee Blvd in Winnipeg, and then we will ride over to the trails (takes 10 minutes).
If any of you can make it, you are more than welcome to join in the fun.

Races:
Time trials on the kids track – 7:00
35 minutes plus a lap – 8:00
The event is open to ANYBODY with a bike, helmet, signed waiver form, and 10 bucks. Riding, suffering and hilarity will ensue. Bring the wife and kids - this is going to be a gooder.

Just when you thought you had run out of fund things to do this summer...Thursday, August 26 the Penner family will be hosting their 2nd Annual Fun-Racing Fundraiser for MS! This is a BBQ supper at our yard, followed by a race around the specially groomed single-track in the back 40! There will also be a specially designed track for the little kiddies. Racing is open to hard-core, medium core and soft-core.
We will give you the opportunity to sponsor us on another bike ride that Elexis and I are going on Sept 11th. All proceeds go to the MS Society.
Come out for the food and fun. Race a race or cheer on your favorite rider!
Oh. One more thing. Letting us know that you're coming would be great. RSVP."

I believe I will be attending the race on Tuesday in Winnipeg. I can drive as well. I'd have room for three more bikes and riders. Probably leaving around 5:30-5:45ish. First come first served.
