I’m looking forward to the road ride. It will be the first of the year for me. For the uninitiated - don’t be intimidated by the road ride. We are not racing and the pace will be moderate. We’ll support each other and nobody will be left behind. It’s all doable. Inflate your tires, bring water, and a snack for a little energy. The benefits of the group ride are safety, support and the ability to draft - stay close to the wheel in front of you and you’ll notice a big difference (don't brake suddenly as riding in close proximity can be hazardous). If you want a better workout stay in the front of the line. Should be fun. Who else is coming? JS
Kudos to John for putting together a most excellent adventure! 47km, one broken chain, and a Revello later I'd have to say I was pretty pumped by the whole experience. Altona Bike Club rocks!

Won't be there Thusday...or Thursday. Little to early for me. Should be able to make it for the post-ride festivities though.
ReplyDeleteThanks to El Presidente for pointing out the numerous spelling mistakes.

ReplyDeleteGreat evening for a ride. If the chain had stayed together, we wouldn't have gotten free revels. OB1
