Southern Cross 2012 was a huge success!  Thanks to everyone who came out and raced, cheer and volunteered!  There were 220 races this year.

Results can be found here.  There have been some corrections made since the first draft.  Let us know if there are any more.
There is also a PDF at the bottom of the Southern Cross site to download.

  1. Thanks to your club and the Town of Altona for putting on a fantastic event. This was my first foray into Cyclocross and had an amazing time and a blast racing. Likely the most intense thing I have done, especially on a bike. Three cheers!!

  5. Great course and organization, great announcer, merciless sand pit hecklers, well worth driving out for this race.

    Many thanks,

  6. Fantastic event! I think there is a lap missing from my results (CX 4 Men), though -- I'm listed at 34:43 (-1 lap) in 22nd and should be 34:43 (NOT -1 lap) in 7th or so, right behind Sean Monaco.

Thanks for putting on a great race!

  7. Johnny and David...
You guys deserve extra thanks for all the work in making the event a success... this includes cleaning up empties and vacuuming chip crumbs at the ACC this afternoon. I think some fellow ABES should take care of your thirst at ThnR. Thanks you guys!

  8. Gavin,

Lucas Vonderbank seems to be missing from the results. I believe he finished neck-and-neck with a guy named Walter from Winkler. Also a guy named Howard ( "C" racer, I think) finished ahead of me which (sadly) puts me in 5th place in "C". Thanks for hammering out the results out so quickly.

  9. I thought Cheryl Koop was the race organizer. She did all the PR on Facebook.

  10. Johnny said he'd buy us beer if we gave him all the credit.

  11. You have to find the right motivational tools. Beer and chips go a long way with a lot of people. J
